State recalls S.M. Krishna’s personal security guard

March 16, 2017

Close on the heels of senior Congress leader S.M. Krishna announcing his decision to join the BJP, the State Government has withdrawn his personal security guard from duty. Following this, the veteran leader is without a gunman since the last three days. As per sources, Krishna had Ramalingegowda guarding him for over 20 years and now with Krishna bidding adieu to the Congress, the security guard has been called back.

According to the Government, since Ramalingegowda is a City Armed Reserved (North Division) staff, he must return there and the Union Government can now take care of Krishna’s security.

To join BJP on March 20: Krishna, who put off his programme of joining BJP following the death of his sister, might join the party on Mar. 20. The 84-year-old leader was scheduled to join the BJP yesterday. However, his sister Sunitha died on Mar. 14 following which he rushed back to Bengaluru.
