State Senior & Junior Athletic Championships: Mysuru boy Suhas Gowda emerges fastest athlete

Moodabidri: Mysuru lad G. Manush, representing Mysuru in the State Senior and Junior Athletic Championship at Moodabidri, created a new record in the boys U-20 Shot-put event yesterday. Manush threw the Shot-put to a distance of 17.70m to create a new Meet record.

In men’s section, Mysuru’s Suhas S. Gowda won gold in 100m and emerged as the fastest athlete of the Meet. Surya won gold in U-20 boys 400m Hurdles. Mohith N. Raj won bronze in the U-18 boys Discus-throw event.

In the women’s section, International athlete Reena George won silver medal in 100m event.

Harshitha won gold in women’s Hammer-throw event.

Meghana Devang won gold in the women’s Shot-put event.

In Girls U-20 section, V. Ambika won gold in Shot-Put event.

In Girls U-14 event, Harshitha won bronze medal in the 100m event.
