State U-17 Chess Tournament in city from Sept. 1

The Mysore District Chess Association (R), Mysuru, under the aegis of the UKCA will be conducting the Karnataka State U-17 Chess Selection Trials 2017 for the boys and girls from Sept. 1-3, at the University Gymnasium Hall, University Sports Pavilion, Mysuru.

Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the winners in the boys and girls section. First prize comprises of Rs.5,000, Rs. 4,000 for second prize and Rs. 3,000 for third prize winners. Players who are placed in fourth and fifth place will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.2,000 and Rs.1,000 respectively while the players who are placed from sixth to fifteenth place will be given a cash prize of Rs. 500 each. The valedictory will be held on Sept. 3 at 6 pm.
