Mysore/Mysuru: Station Masters (SMs) staged a protest in front of Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) Office in city yesterday seeking fulfilment of their various demands. 

The protest was staged by the All India Station Masters Association at Divisional, Zonal and Central level demanding the management to solve the genuine grievances of Station Masters. 

List of demands

Protesters demanded removal of Ceiling limit (Rs. 46,300) for entitlement of Night Duty Allowance; Effecting III MACP GP Rs. 5,400 from 1.1.2016 (from the date of implementation of VII CPC Recommendation);  Filling up of vacancies in Station Masters category; To provide Additional SM as they are facing shortage of SMs and to reduce the duty hours from 12 to 8 hours.
