Weekend musical treat for Mysureans

Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has rescheduled the two programmes which were postponed during last month due to restrictions owing to pandemic.

Sept. 25 (6 pm): Dr. K. Srikantaiah Memorial Concert, an endowment programme sponsored by Dr. K.S. Chandrashekar. Vidwans Heramba and Hemanta will present a flute duet with Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj on morching.

Sept. 26 (6 pm): Raman Memorial Concert sponsored by Sudha Raman and Aroon Raman. A grand musical ensemble by Nada Laya Taranga, Mysuru, lead by Vid. Hanumantha Raju.

Film Hits

Sri Krishna Ganasabha, in association with Rotary Club of Mysore West, has organised Film Hits Music Programme by Dr. M. Mohammed Nadeem at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Sri Krishna Temple Complex, Gokulam 3rd Stage, on Sept. 25 at 6.30 pm. Rotary Club of Mysore West President Dr. B. Chandru will inaugurate the event.

Geeta Namana

Raghavendra Ratnakar and team will offer ‘Geeta Namana’ to renowned singer late Dr. S.P. Balasubramanyam (SPB) at Aradhya Mahasabha in Chamundipuram on Sept. 25 at 5.30 pm, according to M.D. Parthasarathy of Pathi Foundation.

Dr. Rajkumar Musical Group has organised ‘Mareyalagada Dhwani’ musical event at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar here on Sept. 26 at 5 pm, to offer ‘Geeta Namana’ to late Dr. SPB and renowned announcer Mike Chandru, who passed away recently.

Singers Jayaram, Srikantarao, Raju, Sarvamangala Ramanand and others will render songs.

On the occasion, State CET topper H. K. Meghan of Mysuru will be felicitated.
