August 8, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: “Sports serve as a crucial element in the personality development of children. Incorporating sports into education and academics is vital for fostering the holistic development of children,” stated Dr. Jim Lee, Co-Founder and Sports Expert of Australia’s StemFit.

He expressed these views during the inauguration of the StemFit Award Ceremony held at Nypunya School of Excellence in the city yesterday.

Dr. Jim Lee underscored the significance of both education and physical fitness through sports. “Integrating sports into academics enhances creativity and contributes to a well-rounded education. It is essential to devise strategies for genuine education, with educational institutions consistently experimenting to introduce novel aspects to children,” he suggested.

Prof. Ganesh Koramannil, CEO of iQuery Australia, also addressed the gathering, emphasising the need to foster global-level exchange activities in Primary Education. “This can be achieved by introducing Australia’s syllabus in India and vice versa. Nypunya School has embraced this concept enthusiastically and responded positively,” he added.

Raghu R. Kautilya, Chairman of Nypunya Education Institution, in his speech, highlighted the importance of imparting moral and valuable education to today’s children, providing them with a strong foundation of quality education. He affirmed the institution’s readiness to compete globally and provide high-quality education, thanking StemFit Australia for their support.

The school secured a Bronze medal in the StemFit International Cup. During the event, four students and two teachers were felicitated by Dr. Jim Lee. Nypunya School had integrated STEM activities with Yoga.

StemFit Mysuru Representative Dr. Pushpa Richards, Nypunya School Principal Shobitha S. Aradhya and others were present on the occasion.
