Stop littering around Lingambudhi Lake

February 10, 2022

Sir,

It was heartening to read in Star of Mysore  about  students from NIE Institute of Technology (NIEIT)  clearing heaps of plastic garbage from Lingambudhi Lake area recently.

Lingambudhi Lake is a beautiful landmark in Mysuru whose ambience reminds me of some  lakes I have walked around in developed countries.

Sadly, the last time I went there, one path was blocked with garbage and others  had garbage strewn on the side including empty liquor bottles.

As a follow up to this effort, the citizens and the Mysuru City Corporation should continue cooperating to keep the area clean. The people by not littering and the Corporation by regular monitoring and clearing of garbage from that lake area.
