Stray dog bites man near Cheluvamba Park

January 31, 2019

Mysuru: Peeing by the side of the road proved costly for this pani-puri vendor as a stray dog bit him on his legs. He has sustained deep wounds. The incident occurred at Cheluvamba Park in Yadavagiri last evening.

Shivakumar, a native of Rajasthan and a resident of Gokulam in city, sells pani-puri near the park every evening. Last evening, he went to relieve himself at a vacant place near the Park, a stray dog attacked him.

Shivakumar was bit on his leg and he screamed for help.

Hearing his screams, fellow vendors and passers-by rushed for rescue and the dog ran away seeing people. Area residents and walkers alleged that this particular dog had created terror in the area and has bitten and chased many people.

They said that the dog chases motorists and many two-wheeler riders have fallen on the road and have sustained injuries. They have alleged that despite many complaints, the Mysuru City Corporation has not taken any action.
