Stray horses causing menace to motorists

July 3, 2025

Sir,

A sudden appearance of three to four stray horses on the Kannada Sahitya Parishat Road, which connects Vijayanagar 1st Stage to Kalidasa Road, has unexpectedly become a headache for commuters.

These owner-less horses are frequently seen roaming around, sometimes acting stubbornly like cows, refusing to move even after repeated honking from motorists.

Vegetable vendors in the area are also distressed as these horses eat and spoil their produce, disrupting their daily business. It’s regrettable that the Mysuru City Corporation officials have turned a blind eye to this issue, remaining inactive in spite of complaints from some concerned citizens a few days ago.
