Street vendors evicted

November 10, 2017

Mysuru: In a footpath encroachment clearance drive, Krishnaraja (KR) Traffic Police along with MCC’s Abhaya team, evicted street vendors, push cart vendors and other small vendors doing business on the footpath along both sides of the stretch of road from Najumalige Circle to Srinivas Circle, on Nov.7.

The encroachment had caused severe inconvenience to the pedestrians who were forced to walk on the busy road risking their lives.

The Police also warned the vendors against encroaching footpaths in future which would hamper the smooth flow of traffic.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe supervised K.R. Inspector D. Manjunath and staff in the footpath encroachment clearing operation.
