Stretches of ORR reduced to personal corridor

February 20, 2023

Sir,

The whole of Outer Ring Road (ORR) including Hinkal, Bogadi and Dattagalli junctions are dotted by flex boards and hoardings erected by the followers of a local politician wishing their leader on his birthday.

The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) autho-rities who are responsible for the ORR upkeep should put an end to this kind of defacing of the road. The drivers of vehicles find it difficult to concentrate on the road while driving due to these flex boards.

Can anybody end this menace which has become a habit of followers of politicians?

– A Ring Road Commuter, Mysuru, 5.2.2023
