Student killed as bike rams into tree

Mysore/Mysuru: A 22-year-old student was killed after ramming his bike into a tree near Eidgah Grounds in Tilaknagar on May 29.

The deceased is Chandrashekar, son of Santosh Kumar and a resident of Uttamballi village in Kollegal taluk.

Santosh, who was riding his friend’s TVS Apache RR 310 bike (TN-11-AK-8689) on Shalimar Theatre Road toward Highway Circle, lost control of the bike and rammed into a tree grown on the road median resulting in him sustaining serious injuries.

Though he was being rushed to a nearby private hospital, he is said to have breathed his last mid way.

N.R. Traffic Police have registered a case.
