Mysuru: The Math Whizz – 2017, one of India’s biggest Math competitions for school children, was conducted recently.
The students of NPSI – Mysuru participated in the preliminary round in September. Fifty-four students from Classes IV to IX took part with Classes IV, V and VI in the Primary group and classes VII, VIII and IX in the Secondary group.
Five students from Class VI were selected for the regional round of Group League (Primary) and three students from Class VI were selected for Individual League (Primary).
Five students from Classes VIII and IX were selected for the regional round of Group League (Secondary) and one student from Class VIII was selected for Individual League (Secondary).
The regional round was conducted in December at St. Joseph’s Indian High School, Bengaluru. In all, 15 schools participated in the competition. Among them, the Primary as well as the Secondary group league from NPSI – Mysuru secured the second runner-up position.
