Mysuru: The valedictory of cultural and sports activities of Basudev Somani College, Mysuru — Somani Sambhrama — was held recently.

Dr. C. Basavaraju, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Mysore (UoM) and Dr. S. Shivarajappa, Director, Oriental Research Institute (ORI), Mysuru, were the chief guests.

H.N. Nagaraj, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Institute of Education Trust, Dr. M. Puttaswamy, Managing Trustee, The Institute of Education Trust, Dr. M. Mahadevaiah, Principal, Basudev Somani College, Mysuru, Dr. S.S. Raje Urs, B. Sadhashiva Bhatt, Director of Physical Education Department and M. Sowmya, Programme Coordinator, were present.

Medals and cash prizes were given to the meritorious students and sports achievers.

K.C. Chaithara, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, presented the Annual Sports Report. Abhay, Assistant Professor, M.Com Department, presented the Annual Cultural Report. Buvanashree and Thanushree rendered invocation. S. Prathyaksha and Buvanashree welcomed. A. Pooja proposed a vote of thanks. Dathri Bharathwaj and Karthik compered the programme.
