Students take out ‘National Safety Day’ rally

Mysuru: Nearly 100 students of Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering (MIFSE) took out a rally to observe the 47th National Safety Day (NSD) week, here this morning.

The rally began from MIFSE office on Narayana Shastri Road with District Fire Officer K.P. Gururaj flagging off the rally.

It passed through D. Devaraja Urs Road, JLB Road, Ramaswamy Circle, 100 Feet Road and returned to the Institute via Shantala Talkies Circle.

The theme for this year’s NSD is ‘Work Together to Ensure Safe and Healthy Atmosphere.’

One of the main purposes of NSD is to build a vibrant nation free from all accidents and incidents and safety is part and parcel of our well-being. The students carrying placards also created awareness regarding safety and accidents.

The week-long NSD began all over the country on Mar.4 and will end on Mar.11. MIFSE faculty Syed Abdul Lateef, B.S. Murali, Anthony Praveen Kumar, E. Kavitha, M.S. Manasa, Vinod Kumar and others participated in the rally.
