Students to boycott classes on Sept. 27

September 20, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the State Government’s long delay in the appointment of Guest  Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges, the AIDSO (All India Democratic Students’ Organisation) has given a Statewide boycott of classes by Government Degree College students on Sept. 27.

The AIDSO Mysuru District Secretary Nithin, in a press release, said that the future of thousands of students studying in Government Degree Colleges is in jeopardy due to lack of lecturers in Degree Colleges.

Though the students had drawn the attention of the Government in this regard many times by staging demonstrations, nothing much has happened as Guest Lecturers are not appointed, resulting in loss of classes and suspension of many other academic activities. As such, the students have no option other than registering their protest by boycotting classes on Sept. 27, the release said.
