Sub-Inspector dies of heart attack a day before his retirement

Bherya: Doddegowda (60), a Sub-Inspector at Saligrama Police Station, died of heart attack on Wednesday, a day before he was set to retire from service.

Doddegowda, who was on night beat on Monday, took ill and was admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru, where he passed away on Wednesday early morning. He was to retire on Wednesday and the hospital sources have confirmed his death.

He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the family’s farm land at Biligere village in Hunsur taluk with Police honours.
