Subsidy to establish Gyms

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports has invited online applications from eligible medal-winner sportspersons belonging to SC/ST communities who are willing to start gymnasiums, for availing subsidy.

Unemployed sportspersons from SC/ST communities, who have taken part in National and International events and won medals, can set up a gym at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh, for which the Department will grant 75 percent subsidy, while the rest 25 percent has to be borne by the establisher.

The subsidy will be given only for sportspersons from Karnataka who have represented the State. The maximum age limit is 40 years. For details, contact Ph: 0821- 2564179.
