Sugarcane growers to launch unique daily stir from Dec.27

December 22, 2017

Mysuru: Sugarcane growers led by State Organising Secretary Attahalli Devaraj submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner at his office here on Tuesday urging the Government to solve the problems of sugarcane growers before Dec.27 as directed by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah.

Speaking to press persons later, Devaraj said that the Sugarcane growers had staged a protest in November urging the Government to solve the cane price row at Bannari Amman Sugar Factory and other issues and a memorandum was also submitted to the Chief Minister who had instructed the DC to resolve the issues within two days but nothing had transpired.

He further said that the Sugarcane growers would launch a unique stir daily from Dec.27 in front of DC’s office if their problems were not solved before that date.
