Suggestion to modify KSRTC city bus routes

March 19, 2022

Sir,

This has reference to the recent letter from Sanjeev Kumar Singh regarding bus routes from Hootagalli.

In this regard my suggestion is, many of the existing routes were planned almost two to three decades ago considering the density in layouts in the city and for profitable running.

But it is time now to reroute/modify to suit growing needs of Mysureans for fast and effective public transport so that more citizens can make use of the buses and reduce 2-wheeler / 3-wheeler traffic on roads and that too at 25 to 30% of present costs. KSRTC must come out with a plan at the earliest.
