March 6, 2017

Sunil Bose, son of PWD and District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, appeared before the Third Additional District and Sessions Court this morning in connection with a graft case.

Bose and his friend Raju were accused by Alphonsus, a senior Geologist of Mines and Geology Department of forcing him to accept a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh in connection with illegal transportation of sand.

While Alphonsus is the first accused, Bose is the second accused and Bose’s associate Raju is the third accused.

As soon as the hearing in the case began this morning, Judge S. Sudeendranath read out the charges framed against Sunil Bose. In his reply, Sunil rejected the charges stating that he had not forced anyone to accept bribe.  Later, the Judge issued a summons asking the complainant to appear before the Court on Mar. 14 to record the                      statement.
