Mysuru: District and PWD Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa’s son Sunil Bose, who is an accused in a sand mining bribery case, has been nominated as Chairman of the Vigilance Committee which oversees the implementation of various housing schemes in T. Narasipur Constituency.

Housing Department Under Secretary C.S. Shivakumara Swamy issued an order to this effect on Wednesday.

Two months ago, Dr. Yathindra, son of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, was made Chairman of the Vigilance Committee of Varuna Assembly Constituency on the pretext that the CM was not able to give enough time for his Constituency on account of his responsibilities.

Like Dr. Yathindra, the nomination of Sunil Bose is also seen as preparing the ground for his launch in the 2018 Assembly polls.
