Mysuru: Surabhi Gana Kala Mandira Charitable Trust, Mysuru, has arranged two music concerts under its Bi-monthly cultural programme on Dec.8 and 9.
The first programme ‘Aralu Pratibhe’ intends to provide a platform for the budding artistes of ‘Surabhi’ to gain the stage-experience along with accompaniments. This time, the talented kids of ‘Surabhi’ are singing a few challenging krithis of Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar.
This event is scheduled from 4 pm to 6 pm on Saturday (Dec. 8) at ‘Vrindavana’, # 213, A 1 Block, 3rd Stage, Vijayanagar, Mysuru.
The second event is a grand vocal concert by Vid. N.R. Prashanth of Mysuru on Sunday (Dec.9) at Sri Bidaram Krishnappa Srirama Mandira on Narayana Shastri Road in city at 6 pm.
Being a disciple of Asthan Vidwan Titte Krishnaiyyangar, Vid. R.K. Padmanabha and Vid. Neela Ramgopal, Prashanth is now pursuing his music-learning under the tutelage of Prof. R. Vishveshvaran.
He has served as the Senior Music Teacher and Academy Registrar of SIFAS, Singapore, since 2001. He returned to India in 2016 and is now serving the cause of music.
Vid. Prashanth will be accompanied by the veteran, Vid. H.K. Narasimha Murthy on violin, the young, Vid. Vinod Shyam Anoor on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.
