November 5, 2026

Mysuru: ASG Eye Hospital, Mysuru, has launched  ‘Surakshita Kannugalu, Surakshita Deepavali,’  a special initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to provide treatment to children below 15 years suffering from firecracker-related eye injuries.

The initiative will be implemented from Nov. 4 to 12 across more than 200 ASG Eye Hospital centres in 95-plus cities. Treatment will include first-aid, emergency eye care and surgery.

According to ASG Eye Hospital, more than 500 children received treatment for firecracker-related eye injuries at its centres during Diwali last year.

Dr. Arun Singhvi, MD and CEO of ASG Hospital Limited, said children should not risk their eyesight while celebrating the festival. He stressed the importance of adult supervision, safety precautions and immediate medical attention in case of injuries.

Dr. Vikas Jain, Group COO, ASG Eye Hospital, said specialised trauma care protocols had been put in place across centres to ensure prompt treatment. [Contact Mob:78498-32991]
