Suspended Head Constable goes missing

May 8, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru: A Head Constable serving at City Armed Reserve (CAR) Police force, who was kept under suspension has gone missing. His wife Rajeshwari has lodged a missing complaint at Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard.

The missing Head Constable is Dhananjay, who was deployed as a driver at Devaraja Police Station.

A few days back Dhananjay and Umesh (also a Devaraja Police Station staff) had indulged in a fight in the 112 emergency response vehicle over petty issues and a video of Umesh assaulting Dhananjay had gone viral on various social media platforms.

Later, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar suspended Umesh and Dhananjay. Recently, the suspension of Umesh was revoked and he was deployed for work, but the suspension of Dhananjay continued which had depressed him and he was also unable to meet the senior Police officers.

On May 4, Dhananjay left his house at Hootagalli Housing Board and has since gone missing, according to the complaint from Rajeshwari.
