Suttur Jatra Mahotsav to be held symbolically on Jan. 29 and 30

January 16, 2022

Owing to rising COVID cases and heightened restrictions by the Government to contain the spread of the virus, JSS Mahavidyapeetha has decided to celebrate annual Suttur Jatra Mahotsav symbolically on Jan. 29 and 30. However, there will be no entry for devotees or the public to visit the Suttur Srikshethra or participate in it during these days.

All other events like Rathotsava, Theppotsava, Mass Marriage, Exhibition, Krishi Mela, Wrestling Contest, Cultural Events and Other Competitions have been cancelled. Jatra was scheduled to be held between Jan. 28 and Feb. 2.

Mahavidyapeetha has, in a press release, stated that devotees and the public may log on to http://Youtube.com/c/JSSMahavidyapeethaonline OR https://www.facebook.com/JSSMVP to watch the symbolic celebration on the evening of Jan. 29 and Jan. 30.
