Suttur Seer condoles death of Gamaka scholar

Mysore/Mysuru: Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji has condoled the death of Chamarajanagar Gamaka scholar H. Ramadas, who passed away recently.

Born at Ramasamudra in Chamarajanagar taluk, Ramadas served as a Primary School teacher for about four decades. While serving at Intermediate College in Chamarajanagar, Ramadas learnt Gamaka Vachanas from H.K. Ramaswamy of Tumakuru.

He used to conduct Kavyavachana-Vyakyana for months in various villages and used to take part in Shravana Masa programmes being held at Suttur for many years and had also bagged the ‘Karnataka Kalashri’ Award. A sportsperson, Ramadas was a well-known ball badminton player too. A simple and friendly person, Ramadas had an attractive personality. Suttur Seer, who condoled the demise of Ramadas, prayed God to give strength to the family members to bear the loss.
