Mysuru: The Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), through its Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS) and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, will organise “Samskrtotsavam – 2026” as part of 18th Sulochana Pattabhiraman Utsavam, tomorrow (Aug. 29) from 4 pm onwards at BSS Vidyodaya in Krishnamurthypuram, Mysuru.

The programme is a celebration of the rich heritage, literary splendour and cultural significance of Sanskrit language. The event will bring together students, teachers, scholars and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate Sanskrit and its enduring contribution to Indian civilisation.

A major highlight of the evening will be the Grand Finale of Bharatiya Samskruti Quiz. It will also feature Sanskrit songs by teachers and students of Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala, along with a Sanskrit discourse. An exhibition of Sanskrit books will also form part of the celebrations, providing an opportunity for participants to explore Sanskrit literature and publications.

Vid.  Krishnaraja Kutpadi, Sanskrit Scholar from Bengaluru, will be the chief guest. R. Vasudev Bhat, Hon. Secretary, BSS Vidyodaya, will be the guest of honour. Dr. M.R. Seetharam, Advisor, SVYM, will preside.
