Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru Zilla Panchayat (ZP) has announced the winners of ‘Swachha Grama- Swachha Parisara’ contest,  organised as part of World Environment Day recently. The ZP had received a total of 19 entries for the contest held under three categories and five entries were selected for the prizes on July 6.

 Nanjangud Taluk’s Tandavapura Gram Panchayat (GP) Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) Akshata Bhat has bagged the first prize in ‘Yashogathe’ category. K.Gopinath, a resident of  Saraswathipuram in city, has bagged the first prize in ‘Documentary’ category. In the ‘Wet Waste Management’ category, H.D.Kote taluk’s Kanchamalli GP PDO V.N. Poornima has bagged the first prize, Mysuru Taluk’s Harohalli GP PDO M.Shobharani- second prize and Hunsur Taluk’s Manuganahalli GP PDO K.M. Rachana- third prize, according to a press release from Zilla Panchayat CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra.
