Mysore/Mysuru: The Swarna Mahotsava and Brahma Kumbhabhisheka of Sri Annapoorneshwari Devi Temple in Horanadu will be held from Apr. 22 to 29 at the Temple premises, located on the banks of River Bhadra in Chikkamagalur district.
The publicity poster was released at Sri Rama Mandira in Krishnamurthypuram here recently by G. Bheemeshwara Joshi of Sri Annapoorneshwari Devi Temple. Speaking on the occasion, he said that several rituals and religious programmes will be held as part of the week-long Sri Annapoorneshwari Devi Temple Punapratishtapana, Swarna Mahotsava and Brahma Kumbhabhisheka.
Rituals like Rathotsava, Rajatha Tambra Kalasha Seva, Lalitha Mula Mantra Homa, Sri Mahaganapathy Navagraha Rudra Homa, Sri Annapoorna Mula Mantra Homa, Sahasra Chandika Yaga, Annadana Seva, Koti Kumkumarchane Seva will be carried out apart from cultural programmes.
Shashwathi Dharmika Kriya Samithi’s Bhanuprakash Sharma, who too spoke, said that devotees can witness all these rituals at the Temple after 50 years. “Those devotees who wish to do ‘Annadana’ may contribute ration. The ration provided by the devotees will be used in preparing Naivedya for the Goddess,” he added.
Brahmana Sangha President D.T Prakash said, “Those who are interested in volunteering may collect the things provided by devotees from Mysuru and hand it over to Sri Rama Mandira in Krishnamurthypuram.”
