Mysuru: Mukul Saran Mathur, General Manager of South Western Railway (SWR), conducted a comprehensive inspection of Ashokapuram Railway Workshop yesterday.
He was accompanied by key Railway officials, including Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mysuru, V.K. Chadha, Chief Workshop Manager and Umesh Kumar, Chief Mechanical Engineer, along with other senior officers.
During his visit, Mathur reviewed ongoing projects, assessed infrastructure improvements and discussed future development plans. He engaged directly with employees to understand the Workshop’s performance, earnings and workforce strength.
A significant moment of the visit was the ceremonial flagging off of a newly introduced Train Bus, designed to enhance operational efficiency and connectivity.
Addressing the gathering, Mathur praised the dedication and hard work of the staff, emphasising the importance of modern technology, continuous skill development and teamwork to improve productivity and service standards.
His visit reaffirmed SWR’s commitment to infrastructure growth, employee engagement and excellence in Railway operations.
