SWR invites applications to fill up 1,004 posts

Bengaluru: South Western Railway (SWR) has invited applications from candidates to apply for Apprentice posts. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official site of RRC Hubli on rrchubli.in. The last date to apply for the post is Jan. 9, 2021. This recruitment drive will fill up 1,004 posts in the organisation.

Candidates, who have registered with local employment exchange falling in Karnataka and adjoining districts of States, served by SWR, that is, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa will be given preference. Last date for submitting filled-in applications will be Jan. 9, 2021.

Candidates should have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognised Board and also have ITI — National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the NCVT/SCVT. Age limit of a candidate should be between 15 and 24 years of age.

The selection of candidates will be on the basis of a merit list. The merit list will be prepared for the purpose on the basis of the percentage of marks in matriculation with a minimum of 50 percent plus  ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done.

Candidates who want to apply for the post will have to pay Rs. 100 as application fees. Payment will have to be done through online mode. 

For more related details, candidates can visit the official site of SWR. Out of the total 1,004 posts, 177 are in Mysuru, 43 in Mysuru Workshop, 280 in Bengaluru, 287 in Hubballi and 217 in Hubballi Workshop.

The selected candidates would get monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 16,000. Applications have been invited for following trades: mechanist, plumber, painter and cooper.
