SWR to hold ‘Nationwide Thematic Pension Adalat’ in city tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, will be organising a special ‘Nationwide Thematic Pension Adalat’ at the Divisional Personnel Office, I floor, DRM Office building in city tomorrow.

 This initiative comes as directed by the Railway Board and aims to expedite the process of issuing PPOs (Pension Payment Orders) for various categories of cases.

The Adalat will specifically focus on the following cases:

1. Cases of retirement on Superannuation until 30.6.2023 in which PPOs have not been issued as of now.

2. Cases of Voluntary retirement until 31.3.2023, in which PPOs have not been issued as of now.

3. Cases of Death of Railway servant until 31.3.2023, in which family pension has not been sanctioned as of now.

4. Cases of Death of Railway servant in the performance of duty until 31.03.2023, in which only provisional/ordinary family pension has been sanctioned and family pension under CCS (EOP) rules has been claimed.

5. Cases wherein death certificate of the Pensioner has been submitted to the Pension Disbursing Bank and family Pension not started within one month of receipt by the bank, if the name of the Family Pensioner is given in the PPO.

To address grievances related to the above-mentioned cases, the Railway Pensioners, Family Pensioners, and wards of pensioners are invited to participate in the ‘Nationwide Thematic Pension Adalat’ on Sept.20 (Wednesday) between 11 am and 1 pm.

Participants are encouraged to submit their grievances or representations in advance through e-mail at [email protected]. This will ensure effective redressal of grievances during the video-conference, says s press release from K. Lohiteshwara, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Sr. PRO.
