T.K. Alva (87), a retired senior officer at KEB, passed away at his son Vishwaprasad Alva’s residence at Vijayanagar in city on Sunday (Feb. 6).

He leaves behind his wife Janhavi, a Kannada Writer, two sons including Skanray Technologies Ltd. Mysuru, Managing Director Vishwaprasad Alva, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. 

Hailing from the reputed Talekala  Majeshwara Tharavad in the undivided Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod districts, Alva was a disciplined officer and a helpful person.

 After his retirement, he took to farming, Kannada literature and Gadinadu Kannada initiatives. He had held many positions in temple and school administration committees. Last rites were performed at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam on Sunday.
