Mysuru: Mysore Open Forum (MOF) has organised a talk on the book “Mahakshana – Moments That Shaped the Mahabharata” by Dr. Arun Krishnan at 10.30 am on Sunday (Nov. 1) at Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru. He will be in discussion about the book with Abinav Agarwal, an author of many books.

Dr. Arun Krishnan, a passionate historian and story-teller, is the author of  “The Battle of Vathapi Trilogy,” published by HarperCollins and “Daughter of Two Rivers,” which has been long-listed for the IGF Archer-Amish Award and has won the Special Jury Mention for the S.L. Bhyrappa Prize for Historical Fiction.

A polyglot, he draws on his diverse experiences to bring India’s past alive through his writing. An engineer and technologist with experience across IT, high-performance computing, bioinformatics, computational biology and HR analytics in the US, Singapore, Japan and India, he holds a doctorate from US and an Executive MBA from ISB, Hyderabad. He is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of Mysore Polymers and Rubber Products (MYPOL).

In this retelling of Mahabharata in Mahakshana, the author steps inside the minds of the men and women who shaped Bharatavarsha. Arun and Abhinav will delve into the stories in the Mahakshana as well as what goes into writing this historical fiction. The talk is open to all. Interested may contact Mob: 94498-19536.
