Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Open Forum has organised a talk on ‘Unravelling Mysteries of Dementia’ by Dr. K. Hanumanthachar Joshi at 10.30 am on June 11 at Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, 581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru
Dr. Hanumanthachar Joshi, Principal, Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, completed his Doctorate from Division of Pharm. Sciences, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana.
His research interests are neurosciences, behavioural psychopharmacology, herbal psychotropics, standardisation of phytopharmaceuticals, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Hanumanthachar Joshi will talk about various aspects of Dementia, its causes and its effects on people suffering from it and on their relatives. One of the dreaded diseases affecting all sections of society especially the elderly, he will discuss cure and management of the disease.

He has published over 200 research and review papers in scientific journals and presented papers at various national and international conferences.
He is the President, Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI), Mysore Chapter.
ARDSI is involved in creating awareness regarding Alzheimer’s disease and associated disorders. He is also the President, Peoples Association for Geriatric Empowerment (PAGE), Mysuru.
