Taluk administration clears land encroachments at Hunsur

Hunsur: In a major drive against Government land encroachments, a team headed by Taluk Tahsildar Basavaraju, on Wednesday, cleared encroachment of a Government land worth about Rs. 3 crore, where an illegal Layout had allegedly come up.

The  Government land measuring about 10 Guntas  in Survey No.162 and located close to the Circle on Ratnapuri Main Road, was said to have been encroached upon by TAPCMS Vice-President H.T. Babu for formation of a private layout, in which sites were formed and works on providing civic amenities were almost complete.

Following a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner by CMC member Satish Kumar and activist INTUC Raju, the Taluk administration, based on a direction from the DC,  cleared the encroachment of the said land. Hunsur CMC Commissioner Manjunath, Revenue Inspector Nandish, Surveyor Umesh and other officials were present.
