Mysore/Mysuru: Zilla Panchayat (ZP) along with Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) will be conducting Taluk-level Dasara Sports Meet from tomorrow (Sept. 4) at their respective taluk stadiums across Mysuru district.

However, the sports events of Sargur taluk will be held at Ball Field Grounds and Lions School premises while in Saligrama taluk, the events will be held at BGS Institution premises and in T. Narasipur, it will be held at Navachethana Sports Club premises in Tumbala village.

For men, competitions will be held in 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 800 mts, 1,500 mts, 5,000 mts, 10,000 mts, long jump, high jump, shot put, triple jump, javelin throw, discus throw, 110 mts hurdles, 4×100 mts relay and 4×400 mts relay.

For women, competitions will be held in 100 mts, 200 mts, 400 mts, 800 mts, 1,500 mts, 3,000 mts, long jump, high jump, shot put, triple jump, javelin throw, discus throw, 100 mts hurdles, 4×100 mts and 4×400 mts relay.

This apart, volleyball, football, kho-kho, kabaddi and throwball tournaments along with yogasana (Veerabhadrasana, Janu Sirsasana, Halasana and Dhanurasana) will also conducted.
