Mysore/Mysuru: Rural talent blossomed at the CM Cup Dasara Sports Meet Archery Competition-2025 with Devamma Manappa, a student of ATME Engineering College on Bannur Road, winning the Gold Medal in Archery event held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad.

Devamma Manappa, an emerging talented athlete from a poor family in Devipur village, Surapura taluk, Yadgir district, Kalyana Karnataka, participated in the Archery Championship-2025 organised as part of Dasara and brought laurels to the College.

Devamma won the gold medal in the first 4 rounds of the 50-metre Indian Round Archery Competition and a bronze medal in the 30-metre Indian Round of the Dasara Sports CM Cup Archery Championship-2025 organised on Sept. 23 at Chamundi Vihar Stadium.

She was selected for the final round and won a silver medal in the 50-metre Indian Olympic Round of the Dasara CM Cup Archery Championship-2025 held on Sept. 24.

Devamma Manappa has been achieving a lot in archery competitions organised in the State and outside the State since 2023. She had participated in the  Dasara Games held in 2023 and won 4th place.

She also took part in the 2024 Dasara Divisional-level Archery Competition and won second place and participated in the Open Games held at Goa and won 2 gold medals.

Devamma, who has achieved success, came second in the Karnataka Olympic Games held in Udupi in 2025 and first in the archery competition in the recently held Divisional-level Dasara Games, and was selected for the State-level CM Cup Dasara Archery Championship-2025.
