Mysuru: Urban Development Minister Roshan Baig has said that people’s representatives have made a representation to the Government seeking formation of a Task Force to protect MCC and MUDA properties, on the lines of BBMP.

Speaking to presspersons after taking part in the MUDA meeting here yesterday, Baig said that several people’s representatives were of the opinion that a Task Force headed by an AC was very much necessary for protecting Government properties and added that he would discuss the issue with the concerned authorities.

Continuing, the Minister said that there were complaints of lack of civic amenities in many MCC localities and newly formed layouts.

Pointing out that the people’s representatives have brought this to his notice about the lack of space for waste disposal and construction of public buildings, the Minister said that there were also complaints of unauthorised layouts coming up in MCC limits.

The Minister further said that measures would be taken to improve infrastructure in city layouts and to augment revenue collection from the layouts.
