Today I witnessed the trials and tribulations of tax-payers at MUDA Office. A large number of spirited senior citizens, both men and women, were among the crowd. I cannot say that  it was a pleasant experience standing in a queue for quite some time. I thought I was doing a sacred duty as a citizen to pay my tax but was cursing myself at the end of the process.

When my turn came I was told I had to be at some other queue for e-khata holders ! At the bank too only cash was being accepted. It took me two hours to do my job. I believe steps should be taken for online payment of taxes at the earliest. Long live the system. But I will be there again next year to pay my taxes.
