Teacher Naganna makes Mysuru proud

Mysuru:  This year’s Teachers Day is more special for Naganna, an Assistant Teacher with Government Higher Primary School (Kannada Medium) at Hebbal in Mysuru.

The State Government, recognising his services to the field of education, has selected him for the Best Teacher Award-2019 during the Teachers Day celebrations held at the Banquet Hall in Vidhana Soudha, this morning.

He was among the 31 teachers from the State to be honoured with the prestigious State award.

Naganna, who is also the in-charge Head Master the School, has played a pivotal role in raising Rs.65 lakh in donation for developing infrastructure at the school such as library, smart class, laboratory among others.

The school has also started English language coaching centre for the benefit of the students. The school had also received the Best School Award during 2017 with a cash prize of Rs.50,000.
