Techie commits suicide

Mysuru: A 23-year-old trainee software engineer was found hanging at her residence at Subramanya Nagar in Hebbal, 2nd Stage yesterday. The incident came to light when people of the building informed the Police about a foul smell emanating  from a room.

Hebbal Police Inspector Thimmegowda and staff rushed to the spot and broke open the door to find the techie’s body hanging from a ceiling fan.

The deceased has been identified as Meenakshi (23), a native of Sedam Taluk in Kalaburagi. She was working as a trainee software engineer at Infosys Mysuru.

Police said that the body was found in a highly decomposed state and it was brought down only after her parents arrived from her native this morning.

Later, the body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem. Hebbal Police have registered a case and  are investigating.
