‘Tejaswi 80’ on Sept. 8 and 9

Mysuru:  Marking the 80th birth anniversary of writer late K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi, Abhiruchi Prakashana, Maanava Mantapa, Niranthara, Rajya Raitha Sangha and other organisations together have organised ‘Tejaswi-80’ special programme on Sept.8 and 9 at the Mini Auditorium in Kalamandira premises.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here,  Social Activist Ugranarasimha Gowda said that the special programme would feature plays based on works of Tejaswi, an exhibition of pictures of birds at Suchitra Art Gallery, screening of a documentary and seminars.

Environmentalist Nagesh Hegde will inaugurate the photo expo on Sept.8 at 10.30 am followed by screening of the documentary titled ‘Mayaloka’ created by wildlife photographers Krupakar-Senani and a seminar.

The play ‘Yenktana Pungi’ would be staged at 7 pm.

On Sept. 9 at 8 am, a bird- watching programme with a factual presentation is arranged at Kukkarahalli Lake.
