Temple built on MCC land demolished

March 4, 2018

In an early morning operation today, a temple dedicated to Goddess Rajarajeshwari built near a park at Kesare was demolished by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). The temple land belonged to the MCC and some unauthorised persons had built a temple there. Two years back, one person was killed when he came in contact with a high-tension wire above the temple and his family members had approached the Court which ordered the demolition of the temple built on public property. Armed with the Court order, MCC authorities razed the temple today.
