May 9, 2019

Mysuru: After a brief lull, burglars have targeted city temples, with a temple in Saraswathipuram Police Station limits found burgled late last night.

Miscreants, who gained entry to Sri Mahagana Subramanyaswamy, Durgadevi Temple in T.K. Layout Fourth Stage by forcing open the door using iron rods, have decamped with cash of over Rs.30,000 after breaking two Temple hundis.

The burglary came to light when the Temple Priest arrived for performing rituals this   morning. Saraswathipuram Police, who received the information, rushed to the spot and conducted mahazar. This is said to be the third burglary of the Temple in recent years.
