Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke into Sri Kalyana Venkataramanaswamy Temple on Dr. Rajkumar Road at Kalyangiri here, have decamped with cash from the two hundis (offering boxes) on Thursday night.

The incident came to light, when the Priest went to open the temple on Friday morning. The Priest, who saw the door of the temple forcibly opened, on inspection, found that the locks of the two hundis broken and small denomination currency notes strewn. The miscreants are said to have decamped with higher denomination currency notes.

The Priest immediately informed the office-bearers of the Temple Trust and later lodged a complaint with Udayagiri Police.

The Police, who visited the Temple, inspected the Temple premises, checked the footages of CCTV cameras installed in the Temple and have registered a case.
