52nd Junior National Aquatic Championship-2026

Mysuru: S. Thanya of Mysuru continued her prime form winning three medals including two gold and a bronze medal at the 52nd Junior National Aquatic Championship – 2026 held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha, recently.

Taking part in the final of 1,400 mts Individual Medley, Thanya won the gold medal with a timing of 5:11:93 sec. She followed up with another gold in the 200 mts Individual Medley with a timing of 2:27.73 sec and a bronze medal in 200 mts breaststroke with a timing of 2:45.39 sec.

Thanya, a II PUC student at The Jain Sports School in Bengaluru, is the daughter of S.P. Shadakshari and N. Shwetha, residents of J.P. Nagar in Mysuru. She is currently training under Gagan Ullalmath of Jain Sports.
