Mysore/Mysuru: Mysouth Restaurant at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Mysuru, has organised ‘Legends of Chettinad Buffet Nights,’ the rich and diverse flavours of Chettinad cuisine, one of the most renowned fares in the Tamil Nadu repertoire from Aug. 11 to 20.
Food buffs can enjoy a lavish buffet dinner featuring authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies from the Chettinad region, prepared by Master Chef Mani from Karaikudi, using fresh and aromatic spices.
Chettinad cuisine is the cuisine of the Nattukotai Chettiars, a community of bankers, merchants and traders, who travelled across South India and Southeast Asia and absorbed various culinary influences. Their dishes are known for their complexity of flavours, use of sun-dried meats and vegetables and generous use of pepper, tamarind, star anise, kalpasi and other local spices.
The ‘Legends of Chettinad Buffet Nights’ dinner will be served from 7.30 pm onwards at Mysouth Restaurant, the specialty restaurant at the hotel offering sophisticated yet relaxed environment that reflects the region’s cultural heritage.
