Mysore/Mysuru: Maintaining that there is a scientific reason behind the Prime Minister’s call for lighting of lamps tonight (Apr.5), K.R. MLA S.A. Ramdas claimed that the deadly Coronavirus will die due to the heat generated by the lighting of lamps.

He was speaking after distributing candles, earthen lamps (Diyas) and masks to members of the public at Dasara Exhibition Grounds and Lalitha Mahal Palace Grounds here yesterday.

Explaining the rationale behind PM Modi’s call for lighting of lamps for 9 minutes at 9 pm tonight, Ramdas said that the call is also meant for uniting all the citizens of the country to fight the pandemic. Claiming that the idea behind the PM’s call is that no virus should enter houses, Ramdas appealed the public to join hands in the fight against the virus and make the PM’s call a tremendous success.
